Sometimes your entire tooth may need to be removed. Most people know this as having their teeth "pulled." At Wise Dental Centre, we make this as easy as possible.

You many need a tooth extraction if you have extensive tooth decay, impacted teeth (wisdom teeth), severe gum disease (teeth have become loose) or fractured teeth.

Most tooth extractions are considered simple extractions and require just a local anesthetic. Surgical extractions are required for teeth that have only partially come through, or are still fully impacted, or teeth which have fractured below the gum line. These tooth extractions usually require an incision, and the tooth is often split into multiple pieces to extract it.
